Kickwax.org was initially established as a place to write down my thoughts and comments about the world around me. As you can read below, my interests are varied, so there is usually no shortage of material to comment on.

The more I began to write, the stronger the desire I felt to reach out and hear the viewpoints of others. The site you are viewing is the reincarnation of the original Kickwax site, designed to provide a forum for discussions on various topics. It is my hope that you will include your opinion in the comments forum at the end of each blog.

Currently, I am attending school in Portland, Oregon. I grew up in Canada, where I developed a love of the outdoors. During my time at the University of Waterloo, I re-discovered my passion for outdoor activity and found a new passion in filmmaking. Lately, my interests have grown to include the study of human rights and environmental issues, in addition to the examination of peace and conflict resolution in current and past global events.
